2009 MCWT Foundation Website Design Contest - A GREAT Success!
Last fall, the MCWT Foundation sponsored its fourth annual high school Website contest, centered on the theme of "Heroes." It convened both ends of the MCWT spectrum: the high school girls that MCWT Foundation supports and the volunteers and IT leaders who support them. Sixty-three teams from 20 area high schools enrolled, up dramatically from 2008. Forty-three teams successfully uploaded their sites to enter the first round of judging. The young women could enter alone or with one partner. An incredible amount of talent was on display for our eighteen 1st Round judges, who are technology professionals from Ford Motor, Davenport University, Group Associates, VerbalWise, HP, Deloitte, Plante-Moran, Microsoft, AMERIT IT Consulting,Walsh College and Compuware.
...and the Winners are:
- $500 First Prize: Deepti Mahajan and Karolina Kalinowski from International Academy
- $300 Second Prize: Alymamah Mashrah from Dearborn Center for Math, Science & Technology
