Robofest is an annual autonomous robotics competition that focuses kids on learning/practicing STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology and Math) skills in grades 5 - 12. Robofest challenges teams of students to design, build, and program robots to compete against those of other teams in the areas of:

 

MCWTF Offering Four $500 Grants to All Female Teams in Michigan for 2010

Robofest is pleased to announce that four grants of $500 each are available to all female Robofest 2010 Teams from Michigan. The grant is being offered by the MCWT Foundation. If you are interested in applying for one of these grants supporting all female Robofest Teams from Michigan you can obtain the application here (also on the Robofest web site.) The grant application is due no later than December 18, 2009. 2009 MCWT Foundation Robofest Grant Winners

The MCWT Foundation sponsors several all-female teams each year to participate in this competition,  and awards five (5) $500 grants  to applicants that cover things from materials to training.

MCWT Foundation's 2009 Robofest grant winners are:

  • Fem-bots of Ann Arbor Trail, Detroit Public Schools
  • Emerson Beauty Queen of Emerson Elementary, Detroit Public Schools
  • Shrine Lady Roboladies of Shrine Catholic Schools
  • Robot Queens of Levey Middle School, Southfield Schools
  • Oxford Wildcats of Oxford Community Schools
